Job Description

Commodity Trading business based in Central London is looking for a ACA / ICAEW Financial Accountant to join them.To be considered for this role you must be ACA / ICAEW qualified and be currently an Auditor or have been one recently.The Financial Accountant will work within the Finance team, responsible for financial accounting and for statutory and management reporting for the subsidiary entities within the parent group.Main responsibilities

  • Complete month end, quarterly and annual accounting processes and reporting for the subsidiaries.
  • Responsible for performing month end controls relevant to the company’s bioethanol business, including trading margin and inventory reconciliations, and for monitoring/resolving cost allocations between entities
  • Produce statutory financial statements which will be subject to audit
  • Provide information and answers to auditors in the UK and abroad
  • Periodically review, challenge and redesign existing processes and controls
Experience required
  • Fully qualified ACA.
  • strong Audit background.
  • Sound accounting knowledge (balance sheet structure, core accounting principles, ability to identify and interpret relevant standards)
  • Confident in the use of Excel for manipulating and analysing large volumes of data
  • Experience using Workday or other integrated ledger system is beneficial.
  • Experience of working in a trading/commodity environment is beneficial.
