Job Description

Financial Accountant (Stat & Regulatory): Financial Services (Fintech) - Moorgate, London Salary £60,000 - £67,000 Cedar are exclusively recruiting for a Financial Accountant Role to join a market leading Financial Services Fintech which provides trading solutions to corporate clients. The company is turning over in excess of $1bn and trading volumes of circa $5 trillionper quarter. The role is offering hybrid working, based 3 days a week out of Moorgate, London. The Financial Accountant will be reporting into the VP of regulatory and statutory accounting and will have sole ownership alongside them over the function. Thewider finance team is 50 strong and due to the international remit of this role there is plenty of opportunity for progression both within the function and within wider finance. This role would suit a candidate coming straight from Practice or someone withexperience of regulatory reporting in Financial Services.Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparation of financial statements and quarterly and annual regulatory returns for all international entities and branches
  • Assist in dealing with requests from the auditors
  • Ownership of statutory ledgers which includes preparation of statutory journal entries
  • Understanding and interpreting current and forthcoming accounting standards and regulatory reporting rules to ensure ongoing IFRS and regulatory compliance for the international entities
  • Assist in finance automation projects relating to global Statutory and Regulatory reporting and ad-hoc request from the business with regards to the statutory ledgers
  • Support monthly and quarterly variances analysis and board minutes preparation
  • Work collaboratively with other teams and departments to explain financial requirements and develop knowledge sharing
Application Criteria:
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong understanding of relevant UK Accounting Standards
  • Experience with Oracle is helpful but not required
AND
  • Experience Auditing FS Clients and a strong technical knowledge of Regulatory reporting in line with FCA requirements.
OR
  • Hands on experience in regulatory reporting inside a Financial Services business
