Job Description

A fantastic and rewarding opportunity with a privately-owned group with diverse interests primarily in real estate, hotels, leisure and retail as an FinancialAccountant.This role will be based in Central London and will be responsible for assisting with the statutory accounting, group consolidation and managing the audit process and would suit a newly qualified first mover from practice with some statutory accounting experience.This FinancialAccountant will be joining a great team, reporting into the Head of Statutory Reporting, in a company with a dynamic and rewarding culture, that has lots of exciting new projects that you will get exposure to.Day to Day Responsibilities of this Financial Accountant role:

  • Assist with the production of the main group consolidation and various subgroup consolidations
  • Assist in managing the production of the annual statutory accounts in excess of 50 entities.
  • Assist in the preparation of group statutory accounts and relevant disclosures
  • Assist with managing year-end audit queries
  • Systems Administrator for Cognos and IBM PA and posting relevant journals onto Cognos
  • Production of statutory financial statement, system rollforwards and set up in SAPA
  • Prepare consolidated information and collate group financial information as required
  • Prepare key P&L intercompany reconciliations
  • Assist in documenting and maintaining departmental controls, processes and procedures along with production of regular financial reports
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks as required by the Head of Statutory Reporting
Required Skills and Qualifications for this Assistant FinancialAccountant role:
  • Qualified ACA ideally from recognised practice (ACCA will be considered)
  • UK GAAP/FRS 102 experience and experience producing statutory accounts
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to conclude and make recommendations
  • Working knowledge of reporting systems preferred
  • Real Estate or Fund Investment experience is desirable
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and systems skills; experience with SAPA, CaseWare and Cognos consolidation advantageous.
  • Need to be confident, fast learner, self-motivated and proactive individual who has excellent communication skills and can work to tight deadlines
