Job Description

Finance & Business Operations (split: 60% Finance / 40% Business Operations)Our client is a high-end property (sales and letting) business, entrepreneurial by nature, the business is growing rapidly which as necessitated the recruitment of this brand new Finance Operations role.Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer you will have responsibility for the day-to-day book-keeping for the Group this will include:

  • End to end management and processing of all accounts payable and accounts receivable activity using Xero.
  • Credit control, chasing all outstanding debt as it falls due. Production of a weekly debtor’s report.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations with a specific focus on client accounts.
  • Calculation of the monthly commission payments to Advisors.
  • Liaising with the external payroll advisor.
  • Using Stripe to ensure the correct amount of any received payment is allocated for VAT purposes.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Supporting the COO and other colleagues with various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operations of the business.
Candidate Profile
  • An experienced all-round, hands-on Finance Manager / Assistant Accountant. The successful candidate’s experience must have been gained in a dynamic SME environment where you have excelled in a similar role.
  • AAT qualification would be advantageous but not essential. If a Candidate does not possess an AAT qualification, this provides an indication of the level of qualified by experience’ knowledge required for the role.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of Xero accounting software and MS Excel. Stripe would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience of improving and developing systems, including process and controls in Xero.
  • A problem solver, you will be resilient, flexible, curious, proactive and outgoing by nature.
  • Possessing no ego, you must be happy to get stuck into any task to ensure the continued success of the business operations function.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to demonstrate levels of gravitas in dealing with senior level stakeholders (internal and external).
Our client operates a flexible working policy - 2-3 days per week in the Central London office.
