Job Description

Finance Manager | Innovative Plant-Based Food Scaleup | London / HybridHarmonic is thrilled to exclusively collaborate with one of Londons most innovative plant-based food scale-up brands in their search for a Finance Manager. Despite being relatively new to the scene, our client has swiftly established themselves as a householdname, employing an omnichannel approach to growth.The brand was originally D2C focussed using influencer marketing (TikTok / Instagram) to build a huge e-commerce presence which was making up c. 80% of their revenue. In recent years as theyve seen turnover grow from c.£9m to £14m they have won severalretail accounts such as Sainsburys & Morrisons with retail now making up 60% if revenue. As a result, they are forecasting further revenue of £25m in 2025 which will largely be driven by expansion into the US market.As of Q3 2024, they secured an impressive listing with one of Americas largest grocery retail stores which key strategic piece in their international expansion plans making this is a prime tine to join the team.This role is tailored for candidates who enjoy working with significant autonomy, who are passionate about the dynamism of working in an SME, characterized by rapid evolution and growth. Were seeking a proactive Finance Manager with a strong aptitude forreporting, analytics, and a keen eye for process improvement and who can set robust finance controls.The Role:

  • Oversee month-end processes, including preparation of monthly management accounts and oversight of bookkeeping activities.
  • Responsible for setting and improving finance controls and processes, keeping these in order as the business scales.
  • Support the Commerical Finance Manager and COO with the budget and forecast process.
  • Working with external accountants to prepare the year-end / statutory accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations where required under UK GAAP / IFRS
  • Maintain a robust balance sheet, including management of the AP/AR function which is currently outsourced.
  • Ensure that the stock and inventory are reconciled accurately.
  • Establish and uphold internal control systems, identifying issues, enhancing practices, and developing procedures.
  • Supervise company expense policy and approve employee expenses.
What our client would like to see:
  • Newly Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS) or Finalist level
  • Strong analytical and data skills
  • Experience in cloud accounting systems would be beneficial. They currently Xero however this isnt a formal requirement.
  • Experience with COGS within food/drink/retail/e-commerce/fashion/manufacturing would be beneficial.
What we would like to see:
  • Experience with a food or beverage challenger brand.
  • Experience in bringing a finance function in-house
  • Experience in building out a finance team
  • Experience with a business who have scaled up in America
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 plus competitive benefits packageWork pattern: Hybrid Working Model: 3 days in Office 2 Days WFH.Location: North London (easily accessible via underground/overground)Please contact for further details or apply directly.
