Job Description

Finance Manager | Hyper Growth Fintech SaaS Start-UpThe ClientHarmonic Finance are delighted to be working exclusively with one of Europes fastest growing and most exciting Fintech start-ups. Utilizing their deep quantitative expertise theyve built (and are continuing to develop) a cutting-edge, cloud-based platform,to provide trading and risk management analytics to a global client base of the worlds leading banks, hedge funds, asset managers, traders and pension funds.With an exceptionally experienced and talented Leadership team they have now raised over £60m of funding from a host of top-tier Venture Capital firms. Having scaled their headcount to 70 at the start of this year, they are now on the verge of a period ofrapid expansion.This is an incredible opportunity to join a highly ambitious and bright team as they drive towards further growth, new product launches and international expansion.The RoleThe Finance Manager will work very closely with their Head of Finance & Legal and will be responsible for supporting the running of the Finance function alongside him.Given the growth the business has seen, the position is incredibly broad and requires the build out and ownership of day-to-day Finance, implementation of robust financial controls and the development of insightful analysis, as well as extensive ad-hoc projectsto support product launch and international expansion initiatives alongside the Head of Finance. There is scope to progress quickly in this role with a clear career path.

  • Ultimately responsible for the preparation of all financial reporting
  • Supporting with the year end audit process and liaising with external auditors
  • Overseeing and support two junior members of the finance team
  • Build out financial planning and analysis (FP&A) alongside the Head of Finance
  • Develop and manage the forecasting and budgeting process
  • Implement and ensure there are robust financial controls as the business scales
  • Preparation of the balance sheet, P&Ls, cashflow
  • Preparation of financial reports for the Board Pack as well as for the investors as required, including quarterly reporting
  • Business Partner with other departments of the business to ensure the Finance team is fully aware of all ongoing activities and the business has all required information
  • Maintain and develop key SaaS metrics
  • Extensive ad-hoc projects to support the business as they grow and as the finance function expands
What we need to see (Essential):
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Extremely smart with excellent communication skills
  • Technically strong accountant
  • Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue learning
  • Excited by start-ups and a passion for Fintech / SaaS
  • Willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in across Finance
What we would like to see (Bonus):
  • Experience in a fast growth scale-up or start-up
  • Previous management experience
  • Commercially astute
