Job Description

Finance Manager - Regulatory Reporting - Private BankingIn this role you will report to the Chief Financial Officer and responsible for the production of all the financial and regulatory reports. This includes analysing results, preparing executive summaries for Senior Management, and presenting these resultsin the review meeting and provide backup on Financial Reporting including statutory accounts, audit, and taxation; Suspense and Nostro accounts’ reconciliation; and projects.The Responsibilities will Include:

  • Preparing all the regulatory (PRA/FCA/BoE/HMRC) monetary returns and the monthly management accounts (MIS). Assist in the implementation of CRR2 & CRDV including SA-CCR and Pillar 3.
  • Contribute in the annual ICAAP production, Pillar 3 disclosures and Prepare Finance related information for ILAAP, Recovery Plan and Resolution Pack in concert with risk department.
  • Oversee budgetary controls, effective budget implementation and business performance reporting.
  • Provide support on regulatory capital impact of new business proposals.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory developments, determining the impact on the Bank’s activities.
  • Assist in the production of statutory accounts in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Assist in co-ordination of interim and annual audits.
  • Contribute to completion of Corporation Tax, CT61, VAT, FATCA and BBSI (s17)
  • Regular analysis and reporting of Profit & Loss and Statement of Financial Position
  • Oversight on reconciliations of Balance Sheet, suspense, and internal accounts
  • Monitoring and reporting the Banks liquidity position, large exposure and preparation of early warning indiicators report.
  • Prepare financuial reports (MIS) for ALCO, audit and risk committees and production of relevant strategic and financial performance reports including financial & commercial forecasting, reporting (both quantitative and qualitative).
  • Assist in completing monthly shareholders reports.
  • Support Accounts Payable process on a regular basis and to act as cover when required.
  • Support the Team in preparation and annual review of general accounting policies and procedures.
  • From time to time to be involved in systems testing and any project implementations
  • Perform the daily capital and Large Exposure reporting on a rational basis
  • Perform regular update of the accounting and finance policies, procedures and Guidance documents
  • Any other ad-hoc project which may be involved to reduce any manual intervention and in the process of implementing new systems or procedures.
The Successful candidate will have:
  • Qualified (ACA/ACCA) or part qualified/studying accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Banking experience in Financial control & Reporting
  • Well aware of CRD5, CRR2, PRA/FCA Prudential regulations and IFRS Accounting standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of banking regulatory frameworks and financial/regulatory reporting
  • Sound knowledge of liquidity and capital reporting
  • Knowledge of Financial Reporting including MIS
  • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Competent in advanced excel reporting
