Job Description

Recruitment Hunters are recruiting for a Finance Manager for their Higher Education client based in Central London. A qualified ACCA/CIMA professional ideally from the Education Sector would be highly desirable.The purpose of the job is to manage all the finance activities related to the Company, that from managing the daily accounting process to the management of the company statutory financial reporting and budget/forecasting activities. In this role the FinanceManager will be supported by the Local accounting team. The position will support the School Director and the Group Head of Finance in all financial reporting activities and in the month/year closing process.Main Responsibilities: - Finance Manager (Higher Education)

  • To manage independently the Companys accounts and coordinate the accounting team
  • To support the School Director in cost control and business objectives
  • To deliver monthly forecasts and cash forecast
  • To be independent and to manage yearly audit reviews
  • To prepare yearly budget
  • To prepare the statutory financial statements of the companies (operating and holdings) under UK GAAP
  • To prepare of the monthly and yearly reporting package under IFRS
  • To analyse discrepancies between monthly figures, accounting evidences, and expectations
  • To prepare bank reconciliations
  • To coordinate team with tax consult in the compliance with tax requirements (Income Tax, VAT and Withholding)
  • To make monthly analysis and management of capex budget and capex forecast
  • To keep relationship with banks
  • To maximize cash availability to finance intercompany projects
  • To manage companies bookkeeping
  • To support the School in the quality assurance requirements
Experience Required:- Career Service (Higher Education)
  • Bachelors Degree in accounting or finance related discipline (MUST)
  • Qualified ACCA / CIMA (MUST)
  • Minimum 3/5 years of progressive financial experience, for-profit company - Ideally Higher Education Sector (Highly Desirable)
  • Accounting expertise - Management of Staff experience - Team of 4 (MUST)
  • Analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and customer service skills
  • School experience, including Financial Aid process, Student Finance (MASSIVE PLUS)
  • Computer skills, particularly proficiency in Excel (MUST)
  • SAP Accounting Tools (PLUS)
  • This Finance Manager role is a permanent role and is based a short walk from Liverpool Street, Station, London. The Salary will be paying £55,000 - £60,000 + Excellent Benefits. The role will be a Hybrid role - 3 Days Office / 2 Days Remote..
