Job Description

Our client is a global leading Financial Technology (FinTech) business thats going through an exciting period of change. Theyre currently seeking to bring a talented Finance Manager into their organisation that will act as a trusted Business Partner, whohas a highly commercial mindset, a strong cost-focused background & exceptional senior level stakeholder business partnering skills to support a key division of their Technology Operations business unit.Role Purpose & Impact

  • Reporting to the Director of Finance, Platform & Cross Product, you will partner with the Group Head of Data & Analytics (D&A) and D&A CFO to drive informed business decision-making for the D&A division from an Opex, Capex Investment perspective
  • Lead finance contact, responsible for owning the D&A Cost Base, providing transparency into spend against budgets, including articulation of what is included in the D&A Cost base, between Run and Change
Key Responsibilities
  • Building, implementing, and maintaining the Cost model across Product, SAM and horizontal teams in the division
  • Own the Data & Analytics (D&A) Cost Base by understanding Actuals, Plans, Forecasts and spending trends across the division, working closely with D&A Finance teams
  • Challenge and make recommendations with respect to performance against budget
  • Make recommendations concerning strategy, prioritisation, and business operations to drive financial performance
  • Formulate strategic scenarios and modelling of transformation initiatives
  • Key stakeholder to support Profitability Insight in the division
  • Support delivery of Cost synergies within the division
  • Liaising with other Finance teams across Divisions and Functions e.g. Technology, Operations, Capital Markets, Post Trade, Corporate Functions to build transparency around the cost of other areas supporting the business
  • Maintaining a detailed knowledge and understanding of business drivers within the D&A Division
  • Analysing and interpret financial information pertaining to business performance
Leadership & Management Responsibilities / Expertise
  • Experienced in working in a matrixed, global organization
  • Experienced in influencing colleagues and partners
Technical / Job Functional Knowledge
  • Professional Finance Qualification - e.g. MBA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
  • Excellent financial modelling, planning, analytical skills
  • Experience with ERPs (Oracle/SAP) and planning systems e.g. Hyperion and Adaptive Insights
  • Proficiency in working effectively and delivering results in a fast-paced, complex, dynamic, global business environment
  • Work successfully in cross functional and indirect teams, influencing partners
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment managing multiple priorities
Business and sector expertise
  • 3-5 years+ experience working in either Financial Services or Technology
  • Proven track record to interact with senior management and influence outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic business support
