Job Description

Industry: CharityJob Title: Finance ManagerSalary: 47-50k MLC are delighted to be partnered with a globally renowned Charity, that works intimately with the UK’s leading aid organisations, in the recruitment of a Finance Manager on a permanent basis.Reporting into the Finance Director this is a great opportunity for a hands-on accountant to operate in an excellent professional but friendly team, with a role that has huge scope for personal professional development.This well rounded role offers a perfect blend of leading the technical accounting, business partnering with high profile external parties and driving continuous organisaitonal and system tranformation/improvements. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Leading the accounting function including preparation of statutory and management accounts
  • Overseeing all transactional processes ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Overseeing a high volume of donations carrying out processing, reconciling, and reporting related to these donations
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Lead on process and systems reviews rolling out improvements where required
    • This is an incredibly rare opportunity and would be well suited to a strong finance professional who would take pride working for a long-standing humanitarian charity. The role will initially be home based due to the current COVID restrictions but will eventually be based from the head office in London.In applying for this role it is essential you meet the following qualifications / characteristics
  • Experience preparing annual accounts within the UK Charity sector
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external parties
  • Qualified CCAB Accountant - those coming from an audit background would be desirable however this is nto essential.
