Job Description

Finance Manager, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract: PE Backed Research Business - Based in Kings Cross LondonSalary: £65,000 - £75,000 Cedar are recruiting a 12 month Fixed term contract Finance Manager position within a genuine market leading research company, backed by top tier Private Equity firms. The Company has been going through a solid period of growth, boasting circa 100m in revenuesand is looking for experienced industry trained candidates to support the growth and streamlining of financial processes within the business. The role will encompass looking after the management accounting responsibilities and effectively managing the controlsof the transactional process. There is plenty of growth potential as the CFO implements a raft of improvements throughout finance. The role is reporting to the Head of Finance and is operating a hybrid working structure with a minimum of 3 days in the office,based Kings Cross, London.Responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:

  • Lead rigorous month-end processes for efficient and accurate financial reporting, analysis, and insights for timely decision-making.
  • Manage general ledger activities, intercompany reporting.
  • Oversee transactional processes, ensuring accurate ledger entries and implementing robust controls.
  • Strategically centralise dispersed financial ledgers into the UK reporting structure, ensuring consistency, transparency, and adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Drive the implementation of new systems and reporting processes for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate in revamping core month-end processes and rebuilding management reporting packs.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external audit teams, preparing documentation, providing necessary information, and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and growth within the transactional finance function.
Requirements:
  • ACCA / CIMA qualified - qualified by experience profiles will be considered.
  • Hands on experience in a management accounting role
  • Experience looking after transactional controls.
  • Must come from a medium / large business, ideally with an understanding of the workings of an international business.
  • Must be able to commute to Kings Cross a minimum of 3x P/W
