Job Description

The City and Capital Group are currently representing a highly respected and ambitious property finance lender in Mayfair who have retained our services in order to identify and appoint a Finance Manager to their growing team. Within the role you will manage and report on the financial performance of external investors and loans.This is a position of great importance for the lender and requires someone who is excellent with numbers and with experience of financial modelling and also someone who is comfortable and confident working closely with the investors and funding lines of the firm.Our client supports UK borrowers with access to funds for short term property loans. The lender has a range of investors and funding providers that are looking for their returns in the UK property market. As a result this position will be key in terms of creating reports that allow each investor to understand their investment performance whilst also reporting on how these investments are performing in regards to the lender.Therefore the ideal individual will demonstrate experience and knowledge of:

  • Undertaking analysis to compile financial reports for the CEO
  • Manage external loan tape ensuring analysis is completed for quarterly report publishing
  • Manage and oversee the online calculator
  • Liaise with and support the management accountants on financial matters
  • Liaise with management in respect of credit control and loan performance
  • Regularly review and improve financial models and reporting
  • Forecast across a broad range of financial data to assist with strategic planning
  • Create and manage the loan process for loan allocation to desired funding line
    • Much of your financial modelling and planning skills can be utilised and implemented by the lender with great effect internally. The role will also be investor facing and much of your financial modelling and reporting will also be relevant to them. On that basis…The ideal individual will also demonstrate experience or knowledge of:
  • Producing costs analysis models for Investors using SPV structures
  • Product term sheets for investors
  • Communicate with and negotiate with investors
  • Undertake due diligence on prospective investors
  • A good knowledge of the legal paperwork relevant to institutional investment
  • Creating and delivering utilisation sheets
  • Finalising execution documentation for facilities with the investor
  • Obtaining DS1 upon loan redemption
  • Covenant compliance and management
  • Undertaking redemptions calculations
  • Loan allocation to the relevant investors
  • Audit file reviews
    • You will regularly analyse and report on the performance of each investor and funding line as well as working closely with the company CEO at the beginning of relationships with new investors. Here you will play an integral role in undertaking key financial and financial compliance due diligence on each prospected investment partner to help ascertain viability in line with business and customer objectives.You will support the on boarding of new investors and work very closely with all investors throughout their relationship with the lender. You will be a key point of contact and happy to communicate in writing and verbally. You may be asked to attend key meetings and to act as the key relationship contact for all investors due to your knowledge and position within the firm.Once active and live you will also ensure that interest is collected and collated at relevant intervals and ensure the process of loan redemption is strictly adhered to by improving long term financial planning. You will ensure that activity and behaviours are compliant and will maintain detailed & accurate file audits for all partners.Quantifiable Qualifications & Skills Include:
  • Strong with both online and excel modelling
  • Previous property finance experience beneficial
  • Previous experience working with or reporting to investment partners
  • Strong time management skills, happy to work to deadlines
  • Commercially minded and strategic in approach
    • Our client is willing to pay c£45k as a basic salary for the ideal individual, which will be relevant to experience and performance at interview, as you would expect. This will be complemented with access to the lenders annual company bonus scheme and benefits package.The role will require you to work in Mayfair, W1 Monday - Friday.There is a reasonable amount of urgency to fill this position as you might expect for the reasons outlined.
