Job Description

Finance Director - Travel IndustryThis is an exceptional opportunity for a Finance Director to join a thriving business amidst the great re-start of the travel industry. Specialising in the luxury end of the industry this role provides a comprehensive financial support service to the CEO,Shareholders and Commercial Management team to run a profitable and growing business.Finance Director - Responsibilities

  • You will develop and present multi-year business plans and budgets comprising Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Capital Expenditure and Cash Flow statements.
  • You will be managing a team of 4
  • Report on financial achievements versus business plans on a monthly basis
  • You will ensure full compliance with all regulatory requirements set by the CAA and ABTA.
  • Monitor and Review the production of Statutory Accounts and liaise with the external Auditors.
  • Develop and monitor multiple currency hedging strategies
  • Monitor cashflow patterns and optimise financial returns from surplus bank balances
  • Control all statutory requirements, taxation, audit, legal affairs regarding operations, premises and structure to ensure legal compliance and smooth running of operations.
Finance Director - What experience do I need
  • We are looking for ACCA/CIMA or similar Accounting qualification and proven experience as a Finance Director or Senior Accountant
  • Substantial experience of management and financial accounts within the Travel Industry - ideally within Tour Operating where there has been experience of regulatory compliance
  • Good communication, organising and influencing skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Proven man-management ability
  • Excellent budgetary and forecasting skills
  • We are looking for a self-starter, highly motivated and innovative, with energy and initiative and great presentation skills
Finance Director - What else do I need to know This role is hybrid - with 2 days in the London office and 3 days from home.
