Job Description

I am currently supporting a Not-for-Profit in London to recruit a Finance Director. This role is paying £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, 35 hour week, offering hybrid working.Our Not-for-Profit client has been in existence for over 40 years. They are based in the heart of London close to underground/overground rail and bus routes.Finance Director:

  • Lead with the financial management and annual budget for the organisation.
  • Responsible for the production of statutory accounts, inclusive of dealing with year end and liaising with the auditors.
  • Work closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to provide accurate forecasts and highlight financial risks.
  • Manage a small team.
  • Lead with payroll and pension queries for the organisation.
  • Monitoring grant funding.
  • Act as Company Secretary to the Board of Directors.
  • Produce the quarterly management accounts for Board and Sub Committee.
  • Prepare VAT/NI/HMRC returns.
Finance Director:
  • Ideally you will be ACA, ACCA, CGMA/CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent qualified. PQ or QBE will be considered.
  • You must have experience leading on and producing annual budgets, working closely with a Senior Leadership Team.
  • Proven experience running a finance function for an organisation, inclusive of payroll and pension scheme.
  • It is critical you have prepared statutory accounts and worked with external audits
  • Ability to manage a small team.
  • You will have ideally dealt with charitable accounts and have an understanding of the Charity SORP regulations.
  • Ideally you will have used Sage 50 and Sage payroll.
  • You will be an effective communicator to all levels of the charity.
