Job Description

We are excited to partner again with one of the UK’s leading residential property management companies, sourcing a qualified Finance Business Partner to join the Operations team in a permanent position. In this varied role you will be:

  • The trusted finance partner to the four Operations Directors - working with Operations to deliver its budget and support with commercial decisions.
  • Ensuring the company delivers its ambitious growth plans by supporting organic growth and identification of new opportunities to enhance revenues and reduce costs.
  • Leading the annual budget setting process for Operations. Preparation of the monthly forecast and risk & opportunities against full year plan.
  • Managing the month end process to ensure financial results are accurate and all variances to plan fully explained.
The role reports to the Financial Controller, and you will be responsible for the line management and development of two direct reports. Ideally candidates will be qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) but finalists will be considered.This is predominantly a remote role, with occasional nationwide travel (expenses covered). The option to work from a local office is available should you prefer.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be a leader of the Finance team and ensure delivery of an excellent accounting and financial control function
  • Partner with the Operations Directors to deliver results and identify opportunities for growth and offsetting risks
  • Identify areas for improvement and deliver continuous enhancements to current processes and controls
  • Partner the wider business to ensure finance is at the heart of all decision making processes
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Commercial pricing lead, ensuring robust processes are followed
  • Work closely with the finance M&A team to support the integration of acquired business
CANDIDATE PROFILE / REQUIREMENTS
  • Experienced accountant with commercial acumen (ACCA / CIMA qualified)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Previous experience in a property management based environment is beneficial
  • A good understanding of account procedures and processes
  • Computer literacy (particularly Excel) is essential
  • Accurate and numerate
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent organisation skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Team player and able to lead by example
  • Attention to detail
  • Have a positive and motivational attitude
  • Flexible approach
  • Use of initiative in problem solving
HOURS, SALARY & BENEFITSThis is a permanent role paying up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience. The working hours are 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. Benefits include:
