Job Description

We have a current opportunity for a permanent Finance Business Partner for a prestigious, London based, regulatory body. This Finance Business Partner is paying £48,000 to £52,000 dependant on experience and offers a hybrid working pattern - mostly workingfrom home with very occasional days in the office. Ideally this role will be starting ASAP so they will be looking to interview imminently.The Finance Business Partner is reporting into a Senior Finance Business Partner within a medium sized finance team, looking after the largest directory in the organisation. The role will be to provide a dedicated end to end finance business partnering serviceto budget holders and senior management in the assigned Directorate. It will be to partner with the business, ensuring high quality provision of a range of up-to-date and insightful analysis for business decision making.Key Accountabilities of the Finance Business Partner:

  • Partner with budget holders to ensure their performance against budget is understood and they remain up to date with current performance information
  • Gain insight from budget holders to assist in making future financial projections enabling proactiveness in decision making
  • Lead by giving financial advice to team budget holders on all finance related matter
  • Help to align the teams financial decisions to Directorate and strategic objectives, maintaining, communicating, and embedding the corporate view at all times
  • Assist in designing and developing insightful financial models to help shape operational decisions
  • Work closely with and provide full support to Senior FBP in production of monthly accounts and financial performance reports as well as financial forecasts and annual budgets for areas in overall portfolio
  • Contribute to design and development of monthly management accounts for managed areas, ensuring they accurately reflect the current and future financial position of the organisation at that time
  • Lead monthly management accounts review meetings with team budget holders, helping to identify as well as understand possible risks and opportunities for areas in own portfolio and participate when needed in financial performance review meetings for otherareas in overall portfolio
  • To work closely with budget holders, to develop five-year budgets that are aligned to the strategic objectives and to ensure this is communicated and embedded within the operational business and the central finance
  • To assist in the production and delivery of business planning, ensuring operational and financial objectives of the business are well defined and aligned to organisation
Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA/ACMA or similar professional accounting qualification or QBE
  • Demonstrable experience of running and delivering management accounting processes
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, including modelling and reporting
  • Competent in using Word and PowerPoint packages
  • Experience of working with staff at all levels in an organisation, including senior management
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent level of numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop a rapport with budget holders and colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
