Job Description

Responsibilities will include but is not limited to:

  • Financial Modelling / Analysis: Operate, maintain and (as required) update comprehensive financial models (models will be built by specialist consultants) to evaluate investment opportunities. This includes conducting complex financial analysis, projectingcash flows, and assessing investment returns for sponsors and funders. Analyse and evaluate sources of finance and financial structures to develop optimum financing and commercial solutions for the projects.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive legal, financial, technical and Climate based analysis / due diligence on potential projects, companies, platforms, and other prospective investments for the Fund. This includes analysing project and finance documentation,financial statements, assessing market trends, potential risks and risk management strategies, and evaluating the environmental impact of projects.
  • Valuation: Participate in the valuation of potential investments, including estimating project costs, determining appropriate pricing structures, etc. Collaborate with investment teams during the M&A process and commercial negotiations to structure investmentdeals.
  • Market Research: Conduct country / market research and analysis to identify investment opportunities and assess the competitive landscape.
  • Reporting: Asist in / prepare reports, including investment and financial performance reports, investment materials, information memoranda, technical and financial analysis, for presentation to lenders, investors (existing and potential) and other externalparties.
  • Monitoring: Monitor the financial performance of the investments / projects. Track key financial indicators, provide regular reports to stakeholders, etc.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and fund partners, including investment professionals, legal advisors, technical advisors, project managers, etc., to support the successful execution of projects / investments.
Skills, knowledge, experience:
  • Experience working in one of the fund sectors is ideal.
  • 5 years’ experience with at least 2 years relevant experience in modelling.
  • Financial model auditing is beneficial but not essential.
  • Knowledge of project finance and leveraged finance structures and documentation.
  • General accounting knowledge and understanding.
  • Advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Trustworthy, accountable self-starter with solid organizational and analytical skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Fluency in English is required, excellent facilitation, presentation, verbal & written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish as a plus.
  • This role will require occasional travel to project countries as needed.
