Job Description

I am looking for a Finance Analyst to join an Arms Length Body of a Central Government department on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified / part - qualified Finance Analyst to advance their career.Key responsibilities:

  • Sending project related journal requests to relevant finance team as part of month end process.
  • Running project reports using fusion (Oracle based finance system) for budget holders to analyse budget spend and inform decision making in case of visible/significant variance.
  • Providing required information e.g., spend or remaining budget against specific project to different budget holder/stakeholder and applying necessary changes on fusion when applicable in case of amendment agreed with the funder.
  • Submitting timely periodic claim/financial reports on funder’s portal for grant funded projects.
  • Sending project set up and invoice requests against the project to relevant finance team.
  • Liaising with FBP team when they need specific information regarding progress of any active project.
  • Completing project closure process at the end of each project on fusion following the set process.
  • Preparing detailed period end reports for relevant projects according to the requirement of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preparing journals to move cost between projects and cost centres where necessary and to release income for grant funded projects against project expenses.
  • Coordinating regularly with all the stakeholder to ensure correct process in place for accurate internal and external financial reporting.
