Job Description

FP&A ANALYST

    • This Highly Entrepreneurial Media Group with operations throughout the globe is an employer of choice and leaders in their field. VC backed and highly profitable they are also rapidly expanding despite the challenges in the current economic market with further aggressive growth plans for the next 3 years.They now require a bright, pro-active and commercially astute FP&A Analyst to support the FP&A Director on delivering the budgeting & planning across the regions as well as supporting the sales team with various ad-hoc project & analysis work.Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage the successful delivery and continued development and improvement of the planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Support the business in the budget process including managing headcount, assist stakeholders with building their annual budgets and analyse costs to bridge the gap in achieving the annual company goal.
  • Manage the Weekly Forecast Process.
  • Provide financial insights into the performance of the company focusing on revenue generation and cost of sales.
  • Provide detailed variance analysis at month-end (Revenue/ CoS/ Opex).
  • Manage the KPI reporting and tracking of these metrics.
  • Analyse complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision-making purposes.
  • Help drive the commercial agenda; provide input and support decisions on the commercial viability of proposals and new business opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively and analytically with other senior members of finance, senior management, and functional leads both regionally and globally.
  • Be the finance business partner for key territories, managing the reporting, insight and provide guidance on achieving financial targets.
  • Preparation and provision of quarterly reports and account reconciliations for group requirements.
  • Review business processes to support reporting and information systems and enhance efficiency of reporting.
  • Production and implementation and rolling out the sales team commission plans annually and responsible for quarterly commission calculations.
  • Preparation and analysis of margin reporting for discussion at Board level.
  • Work closely with budget holders reviewing & analysing spend.
    • Required experience & skills
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven background in FP&A
  • Previous experience in the media or tech sector preferred but not essential
  • Business facing with the capability to quickly establish credibility with sales staff and non-financial stakeholders
  • Proactive attitude - with the ability to work autonomously
  • Adaptable to a changing environment with system migrations, upgrades and process changes
  • Able to manage competing deadlines and prioritise accordingly
  • Attention to detail and logical approach to problem solving
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
