Job Description

Financial Business Development Analyst - 12 month FTCI am looking for a Business Development Analyst to support the business development team in financial analysis, business modelling and risk analysis for ongoing projects and new business initiatives including new channel and product launches across digital,OTT, new media, and the linear channel business with a specialism in AVOD modelling, Main focus being the creation of advanced cost and revenue modelling to support linear and digital products - specialism in advertising CPT/CPM modeling.Broad and comprehensive understanding of theories and practices in advanced financial modelling for linear and digital content propositions to include:

  • Producing weekly and ad hoc trackers and internal dashboards from multiple sources to support the SVP of Business Development and business development team.
  • Financial modelling of OTT digital video distribution methods including AVOD, SVOD, and FAST opportunities across existing and new content assets. Ability to understand and model complex cost and revenue structures.
  • Business planning and risk/reward analysis for new channel business and channel launches / new joint ventures, acquisitions etc.
  • Provide financial impact analysis of potential channel closures / restructures or asset sales.
  • Assist sales teams in the creation of internal reports identifying potential revenue gaps/ channels / feeds
  • Assist research/finance in forecasting future financial performance and trends based on past data, and forecasted trends
  • Work with SVP Business development and finance for production of models for use in budgeting / reforecastand flash forecasting as required
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required, including supporting the management team with international rollouts
M&A
  • Reviewing M&A prospects
  • Analyse of M & A targets, including valuations and risk models and preparation of clear, targeted reports to assist with strategic decision making
  • Financial review and analysis of potential distribution and investment opportunities within our existing joint venture structures particularly CBS UK and EMEA partnerships. As these partnerships develop provide analytical support in the assessment of variedstrategic options
  • Identify areas of risk and opportunities for further growth or strategic investment
  • Assist carrying out due diligence on prospective deals
  • Rationalisation and analysis of existing revenue and cost lines
  • Strong and advanced Excel and Powerpoint skillsAbility to support the Business Development team with the production of materials for review at SMT, and Executive level, in particular PowerPoint presentations, providing concise financial and executive summaries of deals
