A leading global bulge bracket bank are looking to hire on their Financial Institutions (FIG) Investment Banking team in London at the Analyst level. The Financial Institutions Group (FIG) is responsible for the origination and execution of public and privateM&A transactions and capital market deals (ECM, DCM etc.). Our client has developed relationships with many clients in the UK financial services industry, as well as across Europe and the US.The opportunity is to join as an experienced Analyst level (this is not a graduate or entry level position) in the Financial Institutions Group. As an Analyst, you will be a key player in the origination and execution of investment banking mandates, givingyou excellent exposure to the full deal process.This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that has fared well in a tough market and is looking to grow, with exceptional deal flow and competitive compensation packages.Job Responsibilities•Coverage of the FIG market (across various sub-sectors – banks, asset management, insurance, Fintech etc.)•Completion of large and complex valuation and analysis•Support the preparation of presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue•Transaction execution: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation etc. and liaising with relevant counterpart at the client/other advisers (accounting, legal, etc.)•Keeping abreast of key market and regulatory developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamicsRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills•Strong financial analysis and modelling skills•Bachelors Degree or equivalent required•1 year + full time M&A experience (ideally a 2nd year analyst)•FIG experience preferred but not necessary•Solid communication skills
