Job Description

Family Solicitor who has experience in all areas of family law is required for a modern, forward thinking and growing law firm.DIRECTORSHIP OPPORTUNITIESFor the right candidate there will be Directorship opportunities.SALARY: Negotiable Depending on Experience and based on a Fee Share ArrangementLOCATION: Remote / Home Working. Candidates can work remotely from anywhere in the UK or from the office in Reading.JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Permanent with the view of going Full-Time, once you’ve built up a full caseload.JOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Family Solicitorwho has experience in all areas of family law.Working as the Family Solicitor you will have comprehensive expertise in handling a wide range of family law matters and will play a crucial role in providing high-quality legal services to your clients.As the Family Solicitor your key duties will include:

  • Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload covering all aspects of family law, including divorce, child custody, financial settlements, domestic violence, and other related matters
  • Client Consultation: Conduct thorough and empathetic consultations with clients, providing clear and practical legal advice tailored to individual circumstances
  • Negotiation and Settlement: Negotiate settlements and agreements outside of court, aiming for the best possible outcomes for clients while maintaining a collaborative approach
  • Legal Research: Stay updated on changes in family law legislation and precedents, ensuring that advice and representation are in line with the latest legal developments
  • Drafting Legal Documents: Prepare and review legal documents, including petitions, affidavits, and financial agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements
  • Client Care: Provide exceptional client care by maintaining regular communication, managing expectations, and ensuring clients are well-informed throughout the legal process
This is a part-time role with the option to go full-time, once you’ve built up a full caseload.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSAs the Family Solicitor you will have the following experience and attributes:
  • Qualified Solicitor with experience in family law
  • Proven track record of handling complex family law cases from inception to conclusion
  • Strong advocacy skills with experience representing clients in court
  • Excellent negotiation and mediation skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and staying abreast of changes in family law
