If you are committed to providing a safe and nurturingenvironment for children while fostering their growth through play and learning, this could be the perfect role for you.Position: Extended Schools LeaderSalary: S02; £37,653 - £38,934 pro rata (term time only)Hours: 2.00 pm - 6.00 pm daily (term time only)Contract: PermanentMain Purpose of Role: As an Extended Schools Leader, your primary role is to provide and lead safe, high-quality play and learning opportunities for children. You will be responsible for the day-to-day organization and operation of our club,offering wrap-around care for KS1 and KS2 pupils.Responsibilities: As an Extended Schools Leader, you will be responsible for:Adhering to the schools values and vision, ensuring the provision is of the highest quality.Supporting teachers, both in the classroom and with pastoral and administrative duties.Building strong professional relationships with colleagues to enhance the school curriculum and maximize childrens achievement.Prioritizing the safety, well-being, and welfare of the children in your care.Summary of Duties: Your role will encompass various duties, including but not limited to:Collaborating with external agencies and providers to create a diverse program of after-school activities.Developing a varied timetable of activities that engage and stimulate children.Building connections within the wider community to expand opportunities for our children.Effective communication with parents, families, and children to determine their needs and preferences.Providing high-quality activities and ensuring proper staff deployment to offer appropriate stimulation and support to the children.Managing and leading a team of after-school staff in a supportive atmosphere.Ensuring proper care for the children, maintaining attendance records, and communicating with parents and carers.Procuring and providing food supplies in accordance with our school Food Policy.Maintaining a safe environment for children, adhering to safety standards, hygiene protocols, and conducting regular fire drills.Maintaining records, such as attendance registers, policies, and accident and incident reports.Managing the budget for materials and equipment, seeking best value.Engaging with parents and carers, sharing information about the clubs activities and childrens progress.Contributing to, updating, and implementing club policies and procedures in alignment with school policies.Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Your daily responsibilities will involve:Leading and managing the staff team to create engaging and fun activities.Handling administrative tasks related to the after-school club and the wider school.Registering and supervising children, ensuring their well-being and safety.Creating a stimulating environment for children from Reception to Year 6.Supervising and extending childrens play and creativity.Building supportive relationships with the pupils, treating them consistently and with respect.Promoting independence, resilience, and responsibility.Being aware of individual childrens medical and dietary needs.Ensuring children receive a snack and collaborating with kitchen staff to provide food as necessary.If you are enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated to the well-being and development of children, we invite you to apply for this exciting position.
