Job Description

Experience DesignerA multinational coffeehouse chain are looking for an Experience Designer to join their team on an initial 5 month contract. The role will be onboarded remotely before joining the team in London.About the roleAs part of the Experience Design team, youll help them create brilliantly simple, innovative and intuitive digital experiences that meet real consumer needs, make a measurable difference to their key business metrics and inspire the world to love greatcoffee.Your role will include:

  • Designing data and insight led, best in class, consumer centric digital experiences for our App and Kiosk digital products.
  • Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, to pool shared knowledge and expertise with the aim of creating effective consumer experiences.
  • Prototyping and testing experiences with consumers, to build confidence in the usability effectiveness of our solutions.
  • Applying a global lens to digital experiences to ensure they scale in wider international markets.
  • Supporting the Senior Manager in driving consistency and continuity of user experiences across digital channels, by contributing to and ensuring our Global Digital Design System is kept up to date.
  • Presenting engaging concepts, prototypes and design recommendations to project teams and business stakeholders to create shared ownership, generate excitement and align on direction.
About youMaybe youre a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer working for a creative agency Or perhaps youre in a similar role in-house Either way, youll be able to show us a portfolio of work that demonstrates the breadth of your experience in digital product designand user experience.To succeed in this role, it is important that you embrace our values and enjoy working with diverse and committed colleagues. In addition, we would expect to see:
  • Strong knowledge of best practice UX/UI design and Lean UX principles.
  • Experience of designing native app digital experiences for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Expertise in creating lo-fidelity designs and transforming them into hi-fidelity designs, with a designers eye for detail.
  • Experience of working with recognisable brands and the ability to interpret brand guidelines effectively, to ensure the end experience reflects a consistent brand identity.
  • Broad understanding of how to use design software, prototyping and user testing tools (Miro, Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, UserTesting).
  • Experience of creating and/or contributing to design systems.
  • Familiarity with user experience design sprints and service design sprints.
  • Good experience of documenting/building consumer journey maps.
  • History of working in fast paced, cross-functional Agile delivery teams (Scrum and Kanban).
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to self-organise.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience designing industry-leading user experiences for native mobile apps, kiosk and/or website platforms.
