Job Description

Exhibition Sales Director - Renewable EnergyLondon office - Hybrid working 3 days onsite + Lots of International TravelBase up to £80K + Uncapped & Generous Commission+ BenefitsSummary of the role:

  • Manage, train and grow a UK based team of exhibition sales executives for an international portfolio of exhibitions/tradeshows
  • Personal & Team sales responsibilities/targets
  • 5+ years of experience selling on launch exhibitions/tradeshows.
  • A solid background in achieving outstanding sales revenues is essential.
  • This role requires lots of International Travel
  • Management experience is not required
The event portfolio
  • Lead exhibition sales for 2 large-scale b2b renewable energy focused exhibitions/tradeshows
  • There are ambitious plans to expand the existing events and launch new exhibitions in new geographical territories
  • These large-scale events provide a true tradeshow experience
The role
  • Hybrid working - Office based 3 days a week, 2 days home working
  • Directly sell exhibition space and manage personal sales targets, especially whilst the events are launching and developing.
  • From day one you will manage an existing small sales team and set about recruiting new sales professionals into the team.
  • Train and manage a team of exhibition sales executives, ensure the team achieves their independent and team sales targets
  • Work closely with the marketing team to collaborate on marketing initiatives
  • Initially, this role requires a lot of international sales trips, to attend your own and industry events. This may be reduced once the team is more established.
The person
  • Direct tradeshow/exhibition sales experience (not sponsorship sales) is essential, a minimum of 5 years of selling in this sector is required.
  • Enthusiastic about selling on young large-scale international exhibitions and driven to meet ambitious targets for new launch events.
  • Ability to client spend, manage client relationships and grow the revenues of your events
  • A successful track record of success achieving & exceeding sales targets
  • A can do’ attitude, leading by example and best practice
  • Thrive on autonomy
  • Renewable energy knowledge is not required
  • Management experience is not essential but the ambition to grow a team is.
