Job Description

The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs corporate strategy, and in preserving the firms distinctive culture. We are responsible for safeguarding the firms relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policymakers, and the broader public, while ensuring that our own people remain informed about the firms evolving priorities. We also partner with the businesses to source high-impact opportunities in line with the firms social and sustainability agendas. About Global Marketing Led by the firms first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, helping to codify a business-critical function seen as core to the firms future growth. As such,Goldman Sachs is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization will consist of a number of key COE roles in areas such as Brand, Media, Content, and MarketingStrategy, as well as marketing leads for each of our revenue divisions. Together, this team will collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Our mission is to be a demonstrable force multiplierfor the businesses we serve Within Global Marketing sits the Content group, which is charged with representing Goldman Sachs to the public. They do this by:

  • Driving the full lifecycle of content for the firm, including strategy and planning, publishing, distribution, analytics, measurement and technology
  • Developing improved governance to ensure content is built for purpose, and can be leveraged across our full array of audiences and channels
  • Incubating new content formats and products while seeking new ways to reach and engage different audiences
  • Collaborating with content creators and editors-in-chief across the firm, uniting our commitment to innovation and experimentation in one of our greatest assets, our thought leadership and insights
Role Summary : The Vice President, Senior Video Producer, EMEA will sit within the Creative Video team, an in-house agency within Goldman Sachs Global Marketing. The team is comprised of high-end video storytellers who are committed to bringing the culture and achievementsof the firm to life. From concept to final film, the Creative Video team works across all divisions of Goldman Sachs to plan, produce and deliver world-class owned, sales enablement, and external video content. Through cutting edge cinematography and animation, utilizing the best video production tools available, the Creative Video team is passionate about identifying and producing the stories of the people, products, clients, initiatives and communities that makeGoldman Sachs a world class brand. The VP, Senior Video Producer will oversee video productions in EMEA, working alongside the Global Marketing team in London and a team of senior video producers in the US. This individual will need to juggle multiple projects in all phases of production, workingfor numerous internal client across divisions. They should be fluent in all forms of video content creation, from master-brand content to short-form social video. On a typical day, the Senior Video Producer will toggle between scripting, storyboarding, ideatingangles for a video, reviewing casting options, pre-interviewing talent, putting together creative treatments and pre-pro materials, directing on location, overseeing edits in post-production, or a combination of these tasks. This role is best suited to a highly independent and experience producer. They will report to a US-based Creative Director and sit within a London-based Global Marketing organization, working closely with both production management and creative teams. Position Responsibilities:
  • Creative storyteller who can bring video concepts to life
  • Manage multiple productions and stakeholders at a given time. Both internal and external facing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to lead, direct and motivate a team
  • Develop creative briefs, scripts, style frames and storyboards for projects
  • Create project budgets and manage project scope against client expectations
  • Strong project manager who is highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Collaborate with technical experts in audio, video, infographics, and other media to provide creative vision and strategic purpose to their content plans and tactics
  • Coordinate with Production and Post-Production support, ensuring that deliverables are finished and delivered according to spec.
  • Provide feedback and guidance to editors and designers, and ensure that projects adhere to our goals and standards.
  • Manage large-scale productions, complex projects, and large teams (directly or indirectly) with a broad range of skills, experiences, and tools
  • Ability to translate complex ideas and maintain a standard of smart brevity
  • Ability to work within a culture of performance, tying measurement analytics to content creation
  • Engage and develop relationships proactively across the firm to assess current and future video needs
  • Serve as an internal beacon of change, inspiring, influencing and collaborating with colleagues to shape the future of GS Creative Video
Additional competencies, knowledge and experiences required for this role include:
  • Bachelors degree and a minimum of 8+ years of experience in creative high-end video production
  • Dynamic, entrepreneurial, hands-on, creative, and collaborative leader
  • Inventive thinker and strategic problem solver
  • Customer-centric mentality and understanding of user experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project manager who is highly organized with excellent attention to detail and follow-through
  • Production savvy with experience working with marketing operations to execute on high impact creative communications
  • Experience with brand marketing teams and an understanding of messaging, campaign development, paid/owned distribution, and marketing analytics, with a mastery of digital tools and systems including social media
  • Lifelong learner comfortable with a fast-paced, quickly changing environment -- ability to work well under pressure and execute effectively on multiple, time-sensitive projects
  • Knowledge of Adobe Premiere a plus
  • Collaborative work approach and ability to work well across a dynamic global team
