Job Title: Executive Engineer - Safety & Environmental (Functional Safety) Location: Frimley, Filton, Farnborough, Portsmouth, Weymouth, and Devonport. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary - Circa £60,000 What you’ll be doing: • Safety Management System development and maintenance/process updates • Production and maintenance of Safety Management Plans • Production and maintenance of Combat System Safety Engineering Analysis • Safety Requirements Management • Hazard Log Management • DSJ and supporting safety deliverables production • Team Management - Monitoring progress • Following the programmatic schedule, and meeting milestones and resolving issues Your skills and experiences: Essential: • Experience within a defence domain/background • Degree qualified of equivalent experience within Safety Engineering • Experience in managing a team Desirable: • Conversant and experienced in carrying out Functional Safety Analysis to open standards e.g., IEC 61508 • Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership in a professional institution • Working to Defence Standards, e.g., Def Stan 00-056 or Def Stan 00-055 • SSMO or SEMT qualified Benefits: You’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan. The Safety & Environmental Team: As the Consultant Engineer you will provide functional safety support to the Engineering Delivery Manager in the development and delivery of Design Safety Justifications (DSJs) and supporting safety analyses for the Dreadnought Combat System.
