Job Description

Events Marketing ManagerSalary £35,000 - £40,000Based in Ealing, Overseas travel to variety of shows and events around EuropeA great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Events Marketing Manager to work for a top manufacturer and distributor of tools and accessories in the building industry. Based in Ealing, the role will be to oversee and organise international events/shows/exhibitionsthat will make an impact on customers and end user targeted audience. Overseas travel to shows and events around Europe will be expected.The role will be to ensure events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to detail, budget, and time constraints. The Event Marketing Manager will project manager and understand marketing and promotion techniques. Looking for an enthusiasticevent and marketing specialists with fresh ideas and strong organisational skills. In addition to Events coordination, the role will contribute to the overall Marketing & Product Management function as well assist in commercial and promotional planning.Duties

  • Plan implement and attend a number of European events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, and objectives set
  • Come up with suggestions to enhance the events success
  • Prepare budgets and ensure adherence
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
  • Lead promotional activities for the event
  • Ensure the event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur
  • Analyse the events success and prepare reports
  • Support the cross functional teams: Sales, Finance, Customer Services and Supply chain with the fulfilment of product and marketing responsibilities
  • To support the sales team with sales presentations, product training, promotional planning and attendance at events and customer meetings
  • To provide and present features & benefits and technical information on new and existing products to the regional sales teams
  • Involvement in promotional strategy and formulating commercial offers for the sales team
  • Involvement in content creation for key marketing campaigns and marketing touchpoints
  • To monitor and carry out research on competitor activity including new product launches, competitor campaigns and promotional activity
  • Market data analysis
  • Monthly sales analysis and reporting
  • Raising of purchase orders internally and then externally with our supplier base
Requirements and skills
  • Large amount of international travel required all through the year
  • Proven experience as an Event Manager at various locations
  • Skilled in project management
  • High Energy levels and ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines at any given time
  • Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
  • Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office & Sketch Up would be desirable
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • A knack for problem-solving
  • Customer-service orientation
  • A team player with leadership skills
  • BSc/BA in PR, marketing, hospitality management, or related field is preferred
  • Must be live in an easy commute to Ealing
Benefits:
  • Bonus: "on target" bonus of up to 10% of the basic salary. Target and bonus structure to be discussed and agreed mutually.
  • Holidays: 22 days plus 8 days National Public Holidays. 3 days of your annual entitlement is to be saved to be used between Christmas and New Year closures. For every full year of service, one day will be added to your annual entitlement,to a maximum limit of 5 additional days
  • Pension scheme: will automatically be enrolled to companys pension scheme. Your contribution will be 5% of your salary, the company will contribute 3%
  • Laptop: The company will purchase a new laptop.
  • Expenses: All reasonable expanses in conducting your day-to-day business, such as overnight stay, meals, travels, approved entertainment etc will be covered by the company
  • Hybrid: After probation the company with offer working from home 1 day per week, 4 days working in the office
