Job Description

Estate Operative / Caretaker£18,500 (Permanent, Full Time Contract)Based in North West LondonHours: Saturday to Wednesday, 8.00am til 4.00pmImmediate StartMy client, a well-known Property Management company, is looking for an Estate Operative/Caretaker to work at one of their 5* residential developments based in North West London.Key Duties will include:

  • To clean all common areas of the building and ensure these areas are maintained to the highest of standards.
  • Ensure fire exits are kept clean, secure and accessible in line with Health & Safety policies.
  • To inspect all areas of the residential building on a daily basis and report any defects, security or Health & Safety concerns to the manager.
  • Ensure bin stores are cleaned and cleared of any items and ensure the removal of bins ready for collection on a weekly basis
  • Complete all daily, weekly and monthly checks in accordance with schedule of works provided.
  • Liaise with other site staff/contractors, ensuring appropriate levels of cleaning are achieved across the whole development either individually or as part of a team.
  • Report any security/Health & Safety issues, incidents and complaints to on-site Manager and to think and act quickly in the event of an emergency.
  • Changing all defective light bulbs where appropriate. Where light bulbs are inaccessible, they should be logged and reported to the Estate Manager so that appropriate attention may be organised.
  • Liaise with other site staff to use site cleaning equipment and stock control of materials (re-ordering when necessary)
  • To act in a courteous and helpful manner to all occupiers in addition to members of the public, other staff, guests, and to contractors employed on the development whilst providing the highest levels of customer service at all times
