The M&G plc Treasury & Investment Office (T&IO) is responsible for the management of Prudential UKs portfolios, covering With-Profits, Annuity and Unit-Linked funds, with more than £150bn of funds under management. T&IO works closely with the various assetmanagement businesses within the M&G plc Group, and other external managers, to structure multi-asset portfolios aligned with the investment objectives of our funds and clients. The ESG & Regulatory team devises ESG policy and investment strategy at the assetowner level, and drives these into portfolio allocations, benchmarks and positions. The holder of this role will work across the T&IO, asset managers and Group, to lead and support on the development of ESG analysis, strategy, disclosure and publication/communication in line with regulatory and business requirements. Key Responsibilities for this role:

• Steering and leading ESG investment analysis at asset book, mandate and individual company level to inform both the level of adherence to ESG investment policy and the formulation of ESG investment strategy.
• Supporting the relationship with internal fund managers and external asset managers, with respect to ESG policy and strategy developments, with a particular focus on environmental.
• Leading and supporting colleagues across the business to meet key disclosure requirements, including regulatory reporting and group publications.
• Formulating, with key stakeholders, investment policy and strategy on various ESG issues, and ensuring these are governed, communicated and implemented appropriately.
• Collaborate with, assist and advise internal and external stakeholders on emerging ESG standards.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• 2-5 years total experience, across investments or ESG more broadly
• Knowledge of ESG standards and reporting landscape, ideally within the Financial Services sector, for asset manager and asset owners in particular
• Knowledge of investment asset classes and their roles in multi-asset and annuity portfolios
• Knowledge of ESG factors in the context of investments
• Effective numerical and analytical skills, working with large and potentially complex data sets
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in and across teams, building and maintain relationships with various stakeholders
