Job Description

A leading financial services organisation is currently searching for ESG Analyst on a 6 month rolling contract basis.It will be £527.85 Umbrella Per Day and working remotely for the foreseeable future.Responsibilities for the role are;

  • Manage regular, ad-hoc and bespoke requests from UK and US Client directors and Client Service Executives, Business Development, RFP team, members of the investment team, Marketing and other stakeholders, including BNY Mellon.
  • Collaborate with the Responsible Investment team and (Pune) investment performance team to coordinate work and identify/resolve data issues.
  • Develop a working knowledge of ESG data, client requirements and the commercial and regulatory requirements driving this.
  • Utilise this knowledge to support existing and future reporting processes. Work with the business to improve productivity where systematic issues exist through detailed feedback. Identify opportunities to increase quality and output whilst mitigating risk.
  • Lead the creation of a centralised content hub to provide self-service provision of approved ESG data to the broad commercial area.
  • Maintain detailed management information relating to data requests, content and origin and advise on new requirements/trends.
  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and collaborate on requirements ensuring that the technology strategy is aligned with business strategy and objectives. Work with relevant product teams to capture client/consultant requirements.
  • Keep abreast of data providers model enhancements, regulatory initiatives which may impact data and reporting requirements.
Job Specific Competencies
  • Interest in responsible investment and ESG is essential.
  • Ideally more than 2 years experience in Asset Management within an ESG data, performance or risk role.
  • Previous ESG data experience would be beneficial. Strong data analysis skills are essential.
  • Good understanding of investment securities, market data, investment funds and financial markets.
  • Excellent MS Excel skills are required.
  • Knowledge of MSCI ESG, ISS, Morningstar, Bloomberg or Refinitiv would be beneficial.
  • Experience of dealing with multiple internal and external stakeholders would be an advantage.
  • Fantastic communicator and collaborator, keen to work closely across a wide variety of teams and geographies.
