Hartpurys commercial yard enables students to gain a wealth of practical and work experience in all aspects of horse care and management. It features stabling for230 horses, including 125 boxes for student livery. Facilities also include two horse walkers, four indoor schools, three outdoor schools, limited turnout and a non-slip trot-up.You will support the Equine Department in providing an outstanding and safe experiencefor students, commercial users and ensure a high standard of horse welfare. The role supports the Equine Team in the day to day running of the Equine Unit, assisting with the supervision of students whilst undertaking practical tasks and supervising studentliveries. The post holder will also be part of our team hosting and assisting with the running of International Equine Events and commercial bookings throughout the year.We require a team player who has the enthusiasm and drive to motivate students and maintainour professional standards. The successful applicant will be provided with the opportunity to work towards improving and developing their riding ability within two staff development lessons per week. The accommodation comprises of a single occupancy doublebedroom within a shared recently refurbished farmhouse situated on-site. Facilities include a large communal living room, kitchen and garden with parking.
