Job Description

Job Title: Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) ManagerContract Duration: 4 MonthsHourly Rate: £32/hrLocation: Redbridge, LondonJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the position of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Manager for a local authority in Redbridge. This is a 4-month contract role with an hourly rate of £32. As the EDI Manager, you will playa pivotal role in leading the delivery of innovative and effective EDI strategy and programs for the council.Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of the EDI strategy and projects in collaboration with the OD team, HR Ops team, and wider HR team.
  • Develop and deliver the Councils EDI Learning and Development corporate programs, ensuring alignment with strategic and business goals.
  • Lead the development of programs to improve organisational performance in terms of EDI.
  • Oversee talent and succession planning across Redbridge, ensuring workforce development programs prioritise Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion.
  • Conduct external research into best practices, new ideas, and creative solutions related to EDI.
  • Commission and manage internal and external resources to ensure cost-effective and purposeful initiatives meet the strategy goals.
  • Utilize Change Management, Project Management, Learning and Development, Leadership and Management development, EDI, and Coaching experience at a senior level in a complex organisation.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of numerous projects on time and within budget.
  • Provide significant knowledge and experience in change management and learning and development.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Change Management, Project Management, Learning and Development, Leadership and Management development, and Coaching at a senior level in a complex organisation.
  • Significant knowledge and experience in change management and learning and development.
  • Experience in leading EDI initiatives and projects.
  • Track record of delivering numerous projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct external research into best practices and innovative solutions related to EDI.
