With multiple stakeholder groups and projects requiring ongoing E&S guidance and support, the E&S Manager will provide professional andexpert guidance in relation to issues and opportunities for improvement.This position is based at our UK&I HQ in Southend-on-Sea in Essex. Hybrid remote working is available, and very much adopted by the team.This role will involve travel to other subsidiaries and sites within the UK & Ireland region and customers sites as required (infrequent).What are the Key Responsibilities

  • Guide the UK & Ireland region to define and achieve Environmental & Sustainability objectives
  • Management of Environmental & Sustainability legal and regulatory requirements including certification
  • Manage and maintain all related Environmental & Sustainability documentation and processes
  • Expert understanding of Environmental & Sustainability legislation/guidance is a critical component of this role, in addition to being the primary expert point of contact for the business in relation to Environmental & Sustainability matters
  • Attend key HSE meetings (internal / external) as appropriate
  • Manage summary analysis and narrative of Environmental & Sustainability issues for review and trending purposes
  • Provide support to the business and key stakeholders where required
What Skills and Qualifications are Olympus looking for
  • Relevant Environmental/Sustainability qualification is essential
  • Demonstrated experience working in a Environmental/Sustainability position
  • Experience in developing and maintaining management systems (including internal and external audit certification requirements) across multiple geographical locations
  • Experience of developing/improving Social Value would be advantageous
  • Motivated to drive organisational and management system improvement
  • Capable of questioning, challenging and influencing company practices
