Our technology vision is to “Enable, Digitise, Realise”.Your role in the team As an Integration Developer, youll be applying your technical skills and knowledge across all areas of Royal Mail Group.This role focuses on supporting the existing Integration estate but also adapting it for a hybrid cloud environment. Royal Mail are using cutting edge cloud providers, like Google and Microsoft, to update and innovate new business solutions.Extensive use of DevOps processes and Agile methods to deliver solutions.You will be supporting project’s integration needs, working with Solution Architects to form solutions based on a defined integration framework. Royal Mail is a good place to learn and progress to leadership roles such as Lead Developer or Solution Architect.You’ll be joining the team at an interesting time as we explorer what is new in IBM’s offering as well as help in proof of concept work to try out newer, more API driven technologies out there. They’ll always be scope to learn something new. You’ll be in regular conversation with other technically minded folks but also be able to explain the value of your suggestions to non-technical people (so, great communication skills are important).Skills needed The fundamental skills required are that of IBM middleware technologies:

  • IBM Integration Bus / App Connect Enterprise
  • IBM MQ
  • IBM DataPower
  • IBM App Connect
  • Any knowledge of other integration technologies (such as Tibco and Mulesoft) would also be of benefit but isn’t mandatory. Experience of Kubernetes also an optional but very useful skill to have.Proven experience of integration solutions using IBM software.
