Job Description

Title: Engineering Stores ManagerReports to: Client Relationship ManagerLocation: Harlesden, NW LondonOur client is the market leader in the provision of Integrated Stores and Supply Chain Management Solutions for Blue Chip Companies in the UK and Europe - their client portfolio includes the likes of leading automotive to pharmaceuticals to food manufacturers.Due to the expansion and growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Engineering Stores Manager to work on site at one of their clients units, located in Harlesden, NW London.Job purpose:Manage the onsite stores day to day running of the Stores & Purchasing Process. Review cost saving initiatives through the delivery of continuous improvement. To ensure we deliver a high level of customer service, within the Customers Site that supports their Manufacturing Services Operation meeting our contractual obligations.Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Sourcing and Buying - Carry out sourcing and buying of parts in support of day to day procurement for general engineering and critical spares. .
  • Stores Management- Manage the day to day running of the stores operation ensure the stores is managed and maintained to a high standard so it meets the relevant performance indicators as defined by the business.
  • Systems - Data entry of all daily transactions and stock movements onto relevant systems.
  • Customer Service - Delivering continuous improvement in service to achieve customer satisfaction through the implementation of added value initiatives and exceeding customer expectations in terms of QCDR.
  • Interpersonal Skills - Communicating with customers and colleagues in a way that achieves results whilst maintaining professional relationships. Regular review meetings with key stakeholders at the site
  • Data Analysis KPI reports - Using ERP/MRP systems produce relevant KPI reports and ensure that all reports are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with the business/operational needs.
  • Flexibility & Resource -Be adaptable to the changing demands of the business and operational needs in delivering the companies contractual obligations to the customer across all disciplines/ locations.
  • Health and Safety - Complying with all the necessary Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace and escalate any H&S issues to the nominated contact within the customer site and at the Head Office.
  • Skills required:
  • Previous management experience
  • Knowledge of Industrial Consumables / MRO market and engineering products
  • Experience of Stock Management Processes
  • Previous experience in a commercial, distribution, industrial or engineering environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A good level of IT skills
  • A willingness to learn and develop
  • Working hours are 7.30am - 4pm Required skills
