Engineering Manager (some Salesforce exp desirable):

  • Hybrid working (2 day in the office - but still flexible).
  • London.
  • Contract (6 month Initial).
  • Up to circa £800 per day (all depending on exp).
  • Inside IR35.
Company and role for Engineering Manager (some Salesforce exp desirable):Our client is one of the worlds most well respected media and news organisations. They are looking for an Engineering Manager to join their retention team on a 6 month initial contract.The Retention team consists of 5 passionate, innovative developers who take pride in what they do and how they do it.Their remit is to improve the experience of the active subscribers and contributors with the goal of mitigating active churn and payment failures. The team manages the Manage My Account platform which lets subscribers manage their products, for exampleset up holiday suspensions, change payment method, or cancel their subscription.The teams tech stack comprises a Node and React-based web app, Scala Play APIs, Scala-based AWS Lambda functions, Zuora, Braze, and Salesforce Service Cloud features.Responsibilities for Engineering Manager (some Salesforce exp desirable):
  • As an Engineering Manager, youll be supporting a group of developers in their technical and personal development, as well as hands on helping the Retention team deliver.
  • You will act as their primary point of contact, providing them regular feedback and guidance.
  • You are an experienced developer with a variety of experience across domains and technologies, and you enjoy shipping great products and tools.
  • You have established your own areas of knowledge and expertise, but are willing to share what you know and are always eager to learn new things.
Experience for Engineering Manager (some Salesforce dev exp desirable):Essential experience (wont pass CV screening unless):
  • Line management experience > 3 developers at any one time
  • Cloud experience (AWS preferred).
  • Java or Scala or JavaScript or TypeScript coding experience up to Snr Level.
Highly Beneficial experience :
  • Being on teams who have used AWS, Zuora, Braze or Salesforce Service Cloud.
  • Salesforce coding exp.
  • Scala coding experience.
  • TypeScript coding experience.
  • AWS CDK coding experience.
  • Experience managing stakeholders from a retention marketing or customer service business unit.
