Job Description

ENGINEERING MANAGER £90,000 - £110,000LONDON - HYBRID / MOSTLY REMOTETECH STACK: Python, Typescript, AWS, Cloud, Big Data, DynamoDB, Vue.js, ECS An International insurance & finance technology organization is hiring an Engineering manager to join their expanding London-based team. They are seeking a motivated and commercially experienced Typescript & Python Principal Engineer / Engineering Manager whois looking for a more senior role in a dynamic and supportive team atmosphere. They are very supportive of the hybrid way of work and are keeping up with all the latest technology trends and developments.THE ROLE:As an Engineering Manager, you will have an expansive range of responsibilities, including:

  • Design, development and upkeep of required software using Python & Typescript
  • Establishing and promoting the use of best practices in the software engineering life cycle
  • End to End development
  • Maintaining and developing on AWS
  • Build infrastructure and take advantage of cutting-edge cloud technology
  • Evolving the backend software and services
  • Managing a very high performing tech team
  • Working with extremely large volumes of high scaled data
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:The successful Engineering Manager will have:
  • Significant commercial experience as a Typescript & Python Backend Principal Engineer / Engineering Manager
  • Commercial experience working with AWS
  • In-depth experience of using Cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with functional programming
  • Big data experience
  • Experience with high scaled data
  • Experience with maintaining cloud-based systems
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience with APIs
  • Experience managing teams
