Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity with the Commodities and Global Markets Finance Legal Team. The desk covers a wide variety of products, from strategic equity investments, lending and structured finance, trade finance and physical commodity trading, toshipping and litigation At Macquarie, we are working to create lasting value for our communities, our clients and our people. What role will you playYou will be required to advise on and execute structured transactions, such as gas storage financings, structures aimed at optimising trading, equity investments, joint ventures and lending arrangements (including reserved based lending). You will also be requiredto supervise document negotiators in the negotiation of simple trading documents across commodity classes, and negotiate more complicated trading documents . You will be managing reviewing and procuring where necessary matters ancillary to but critical tothe operation of an EMEA energy trading business, such as netting opinions, trading account arrangements and other similar business facilitation documentation. What you offer

  • 4-8 years in a similar role, with strong private practice credentials
  • Experience in structured finance, commodity trading or project finance
  • Industry knowledge and experience (gas, power, carbon, with Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) experience a bonus.
  • Familiarity with and experience in providing advice concerning the regulatory environment relating to an EMEA energy trading business.
