Role: Employment Tax Manager Day Rate: £Competitive (Umbrella) Inside IR35 Length of contract: 6 months Location: working from home Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Employment Tax Specialist to join a Group Tax Team within a leading organisation. Working in a fast-paced sector, reporting into the Group Head of Tax. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the assisting with any UK employment tax queries, also work with external advisers to understand and interpret and challenge international tax technical advice, and be able to work with the business to establish systems and processes to enable practical implementation. UK compliance tasks will include working with payroll to ensure timely and accurate P11D(b) submissions, preparing our PAYE Settlement Agreement (PSA), preparing our Taxed Award Scheme submission, and providing input into the ERS reporting process. However, UK compliance tasks form a relatively small part of this role, with advisory support to the business being the primary focus. You will need to have a good understanding of the CJRS rules, and assist with the completion and submission of CJRS claims, as applicable and be able to work effectively and collaboratively with all areas of the business across Europe, but core internal stakeholders are within HR, Payroll, Reward and Legal. You will also play a key role within the wider tax team in maintaining and developing our established working relationship with HMRC and other local tax authorities outside the UK. The successful candidate: * ACCA, ACA or CTA or similar qualification* Experience of employment tax or global mobility tax experience. * Strong knowledge of UK domestic employment tax matters, with experience from either a large practice firm (BIG4) or in a large business environment * Particular expertise in Furlough and IR35 procedures * Critical eye, and be driven to develop and embed processes and procedures which manage employment tax risk in a practical and commercial manner * Experience of international tax / global mobility matters is preferred but not essential. * Ability to apply existing knowledge of tax principles to new scenarios, and the desire to learn quickly and expand your knowledge. * Strong track record of project management skills and the ability to manage risk, finances and multiple stakeholders. * Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to influence and interact at senior levels across the organisation. * Excellent IT systems knowledge and experience Submit your CV now to be considered for this fantastic opportunity to work with a leading organisation.
