Job Description

We are urgently seeking an experienced and skilled Economic Development Project Officer to manage the planning, development and delivery of economy projects and programmes to create a diverse and sustainable business eco-system for one of our Public Sector clients based in London E16.The Economic Development Project Officer will design, manage and deliver collaborative economy projects and programmes using a clear and efficient project management methodology. They will proactively engage employers, developers, other partnersand consultees to identify challenges and opportunities whilst shaping solutions and maintaining excellent working relationships.They will procure and manage consultants and delivery agents to implement programmes, assessing relative strengths and potential risks; prepare contract specifications and grant award documentation to delivery partners.Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience of managing economic development projects or similar
  • Experience in community consultation and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience of or knowledge of one or more of the following: Economic development Strategy creation Skills programming Catalytic capital initiatives Urban regeneration Project development Project portfolio management City planning, design and development issues Commissioning and managing consultants.
  • Experience using IT packages, e.g. Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
