E-Business Suite Developer to work with a Government Department. This is a 6 month contract, In Scope of IR35, paying up to £600 per day. We are looking for a developer to join one of our delivery teams. We are on a mission to modernise, maintain and make better digital services.This role is to work on maintaining a business-critical legacy Oracle E-Business Suite application, helping the existing team to better understand the core components of the system, improve test coverage, reduce technical debt, make changes to the system with confidence and modernise the codebase and the release process as much as possible. We are also migrating from a traditional data centre to AWS so youll help with this and start to exploit the benefits of cloud.Essential experience*Experience working in agile product teams - preferably within scrum and/or kanban frameworks*Able to confidently communicate in various settings, e.g. present to technical and non-technical colleagues*Experience of Git and GitHub*Able to confidently setup and navigate JDeveloper.Essential Skills*Solid grounding in EBS fundamentals.*Oracle E-business Suite Version 12.1.3+,*Application Object Library (at least Flexfields, Lookups and Value Sets),*Oracle Application Framework*Working with Oracle Business Rules and concurrent manager*Strong SQL/PLSQL skills*Support infrastructure and software changes that impact on the EBS*Database tuning tools - Analysing SQL trace files, Query optimisation / Performance tuning*Experience writing automated tests for EBS products.*Integration experience with Oracle SOA suite and other web services.Desirable*Dev tools - SQL*Plus, XML Publisher, TOAD / SQL Developer*Have evidence of the ability to write clear process documentation notes and follow change control processes.*Oracle application customisations.Please apply should you meet the above criteriaBadenoch + Clark acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
