Job Description

Horizon Teachers are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Teacher or Early Years Practitioner to join a vibrant primary school based in Lambeth. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality education and care to the schoolsyoungest learners within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.   • Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons for children in the EYFS, focusing on key areas of learning and development.
  • Working closely with the Reception Teacher to ensure a smooth transition for the children moving from Nursery to Reception.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment that encourages childrens curiosity, creativity, and social development.
  • Conduct regular assessments and observations to track childrens progress and tailor teaching approaches to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with parents to foster positive relationships and support childrens learning both at home and in the school setting.
  • Work closely with other members of the EYFS team and contribute to the overall school community.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching in an Early Years Foundation Stage setting.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and its principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Dedication to continuous professional development and a commitment to staying informed about best practices in early childhood education.
