Job Description

Start Date: Immediate "An outstanding school" (3 successive inspections - OfstedJuly 2010, October 2012 and September 2017) We are currently looking for an...ENGLISH as an ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE(EAL) ASSISTANT Medway Scale, Grade C1 £19,698 - £25,481 pro-rata + SENAllowance (£1,324) To assist teachers in raisinglevels of attainment of minority ethnic and EAL pupils across the curriculum,with a particular understanding of Eastern European language and culture.Abbey Court caters for pupils aged3-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties, and is currently located on 2 Strood sites;Cliffe Road (Nursery & Primary) and Rede Court Road (Secondary &Further Education). The Primary site is also home to our brand new school farm!Working hours are 13 hours perweek (2 days working 8.45am - 3.45pm), term time only. Comprehensivetraining and induction will be provided. Due to the conditions and complexneeds of the pupils at Abbey Court School, continuity and consistency ofsupport is paramount and therefore candidates for all positions will need tocommit to the full working hours of the post (13 h/p/w).
