Job Description

We will work with our candidates to make this process as smooth and accessible as possible."Role Context:The remit of two of our senior leaders has expanded significantly over the past few months. As well as accountability for the key finance work at the Trust our CFO has responsibility for Commercial, Procurement, Strategy, and PMO. Another SLT member is split across two other key roles, Chief Information Officer and Chief People Officer, and both areas are working at pace as NCS reshapes itself for the post-COVID world. We are seeking a strong executive assistant to support the two SLT members as they focus on our mission to improve the life chances of young people.Key Responsibilities:

  • Inbox Management:
  • Compose correspondence, flagging emails, and picking up with various recipients where appropriate on behalf of CFO & CIO-CPO
  • Ensure the CFO & CIO-CPOs’ schedule is followed and respected; providing a "gatekeeper" and "gateway" role for access to the CEOs time (including managing advance briefings and agendas, as required)
  • Collating papers for all meetings and ensuring that key items and matters are flagged and any context provided to ensure CFO & CIO-CPO are fully briefed.
  • Keeping CFO & CIO-CPO informed of all arising matters, many of which are of a confidential nature, and take action where delegated authority has been given.
  • Attend meetings and take actions on behalf of CFO & CIO-CPO within delegated authority
  • Managing significant tasks and initiatives in support of the CFO & CIO-CPO where appropriate
  • Relationship management - acting as an ambassador for all CFO & CIO-CPO across the organisation and with external stakeholders including Board members.
  • Acting as the secretariat for various management meetings and follow up on key actions resulting
  • Actively support and participate in the NCS Governance structures
  • Being responsive with all /invoices/expenses/contracts/ad hoc requests on behalf of CFO/CIO-CPO when they come in
  • Organising all travel and expenses
  • Working closely with CFO/CIO-CPO’s direct reports and other EAs across the organisation
  • Directing work to appropriate staff across the Trust when the CFO & CIO-CPO
  • Supporting CFO & CIO-CPOetc with various competing priorities often with deadline pressures
  • Cover EAs’ in other parts of the organisation when absent

  • Experience and qualifications:Essential
  • 3 years + experience supporting senior leaders or executives
  • Experience in internal and external communications
  • Desirable
  • Undergraduate degree
