Job Description

The role:The DSP End to End Architect Role requires an experienced Architect to support the evolution of the DSP both during the procurement and delivery of a new DSP and ongoing thereafter.Key accountabilities

  • Ensuring that the Service Partners who are delivering the reprocured DSP are delivering the design to timescale and quality.
  • Contribute to the refinement of the design and migration program stages.
  • Shape future DSP releases.
  • Become and expert in the DSP.
  • Become the Systems Engineering Architecture Group (SEAG) DSP Specialist
  • In conjunction with Head of Architecture and Design, represent changes to the DSP at SEC sub committees where appropriate.
  • In conjunction with Head of Architecture and Design at meetings with internal stakeholders
  • Extend/enhance the DSP Technical Strategy through agreement with the SRO and other Internal Stakeholders
Essential Skills & Experience needed
  • Cloud expertise
  • Smart Metering knowledge/experience
  • Energy & Utilities experience
  • Skilled and experienced in highly secure/performant middleware
  • Experience of leading design activities for complex, multi-technology, multi-party solutions.
  • Experience in multiple architectural domains, preferably applications, cloud and infrastructure.
  • Able to see and articulate the bigger picture, but also capable of delving into the detail where necessary to get the job done.
  • Experienced in applying architectural tools and methods.
  • Experience of working well in a client-facing (or similar) environment.
  • Experience of operating and business solutions within a regulatory context.
  • Able to build relationships across all levels of the organisation.
