Job Description

The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest independently owned non-profit hospital, and we have been providing exceptional care since 1932. We have 8 premises, where we perform highly complex procedures as well as routine surgery & medicine. We have an exciting opportunity for an E-Grade Nurse (Band 5/6 equivalent) to join our Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery Unit and work across The London Clinic’s main hospital site in Central London, W1G 6BW.Our main hospital spans 8 floors comprising of 234 beds and 10 theatres, and The Duchess of Devonshire Wing is our award-winning cancer centre, which includes state-of-the-art radiotherapy, chemotherapy suites and 47 dedicated patient bedrooms for Oncology & Haematology patients.Job DescriptionTo take responsibility for individualised patient care acting as the named nurse, using the Roper Logan and Tierney model and documentation for the department.Assistance with patients’ overall care and safety; Support the team to deliver high quality patient centred care; To abide by The London Clinic and unit philosophies; To understand and follow the Clinic policies and procedures; Acknowledge limitations and seek advice / support when necessary; To work as part of the multidisciplinary team.This is a full time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week.This position has a competitive inclusive salary, between £36,118 - £43,767 per annum.We offer a comprehensive package which includes a contribution pension scheme (total annual contribution up to 20%), Private Medical Healthcare, 25 day’s annual leave plus Bank Holidays, season ticket travel loan, and a wide range of discounts with a variety of retailers and services.   • To adopt a holistic, pro-active and dynamic approach to clients with Plastic and Reconstructive care needs.
  • To act as a role model and change agent for students and staff members by promoting innovation and high practice standards.
  • To promote partnership with patients in the care.
  • To ensure legibility and accuracy of nursing records and to be aware of the legal implications of these documents.
  • To promote safe practice and professional conduct.
  • To encourage good working relationships within the multidisciplinary team, to ensure the effective care and treatment of patients.

  • Registered Nurses with NMC registration
  • Post registration surgical and/or medical experience.
  • Experience of Plastic surgery nursing and working in breast care and breast cancer management would be desirable.
