In the role of Duty Manager, it will be your responsibilityto manage the cargo operation to the standards required within the companys guidelines rules and regulations.ResponsibilitiesThe main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the office and warehouse teams to deliver customer service level expectations
  • Maintain and develop customer relations through consistent liaison, communication, and information interchange
  • Monitor and manage the daily operation to deliver expected targets
  • Maximise efficient use of employee resources
  • Provide regular performance information to the management team throughout the day
  • Manage and deliver operational processes
  • Ensure staff are compliant with airline handling systems and ABS (Business system)
  • Maintain the highest levels of security at all times
  • Identify training needs and initiate required staff development
  • Monitor and continuously review company Health and Safety policies and procedures to comply with all legal and company standards
  • Monitor company equipment to ensure it is serviceable and maintained for safe operational use
  • Conduct staff briefings and promote regular team engagement
  • Manage, support, and motivate staff
  • Manage absence within the team
  • Disciplinary and incident investigation
  • Performance management
Role specifics:Location: HeathrowShifts: 4 on 4 off shift pattern. To ensure each part of their operation is managed, the client is looking for applicants to be able to work a shift pattern of 2 days & 2 nights across their 4 working days.Applicants must be available to work this shift pattern long term.Contract: Temporary ongoing position with the potential of going permanent.Salary: £45000 - £50000 per annum, depending on experience.Start Date: ASAPRequirements:
  • Experience of managing an operations team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • 5-year full working history and eligibility to work in the UK, for referencing and CRC (Criminal Record Checks) vetting.
  • All applicants must be available to attend an on-site interview with the client
