Job Description

Job Opportunity: Associate Director, Loan Asset ManagementDepartment: Real EstateReporting to: Head of Asset ManagementAbout them: My client, is a FTSE-listed, FCA-regulated alternative asset manager with over 30 years of history, managing near £100bn of assets globally, positioned for growth.Role Overview: As Associate Director in the Asset Management team, you will play a key role in overseeing debt strategies, enhancing returns, and maintaining a broad understanding of the loan portfolio with a focus on the Distressed situations.Responsibilities:

  • Attend investment committee meetings to identify opportunities for secured property enhancements.
  • Review positions, challenge parties when needed, and underwrite initiatives for returns.
  • Support portfolio-level initiatives and evaluate watchlist deals.
  • Develop and implement strategies for the best risk-adjusted returns.
  • Prepare investment committee papers, instruct third parties, and negotiate final documentation.
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Proven Loan Asset Management experience in European Real Estate Finance markets
  • A RICs accredited Surveying background is advantageous
  • Degree level Education
  • Distressed Debt or Restructuring experience
  • Intimate understanding of UK real estate sub-markets.
  • Stay up to date with real estate markets.
  • Strong financial modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Be a flexible team player.
