The Technology Markets Engineering (TEC-EME) group is supporting the FO Markets: Strat (Quants), Intraday and Overnight risks, xVA quants, ICT, Voice and eTrading technologies, Direct Trading Platform. The team is supporting the FI, FX, Equity, Credit, Inflation and xVA business.Within TEC-EME, Elec team is in charge of eTrading. In this team the ION team is in charge of the ION platform. The permanent members of the team typically sit in an area located in the centre of the trade floor.MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Lead 4 ION experts Support the Ion Trading platforms to Repo, Credit, Rates, IRS Desks KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage a team of 5 BAU roles Create a high performance atmosphere, where the 5 experts gain expertise Manage contracts with agencies Coordinate continuous support of Repo, Credit, Rate, IRS desks Set the team strategy Create a strong partnership with FO: Enable business to generate revenue with appropriate risk Manage trading and sales queries Investigate and resolve incidents: L1, L2 and L3 support - from dealing with trader queries through to debugging code Partnership with eTrading business team Align the team activity to the business needs Improve the platform: Work with international teams to align the platform globally Improve the continuous integration process: review, deployment, end to end testing Improve the quality of scripts Upgrades components Support other teams (eTrading, Project Manager) to estimate new project requirements, support consultants Gatekeeper: Regulation/Internal policy: train staff, make sure the team and platform meet our obligations Server access: Control quality when promoting UAT to Production Contract: Deal with 7 figures third party contracts SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Core requirement: Extensive experience supporting live eTrading platform (ION or similar). Extensive experience specifically on ION Track record to coordinate large business or regulatory changes. Ability to create strong partnership with vendors and internal groups. Ability to create a nice team atmosphere Necessary: Experience providing technical support for Fixed Income Desks within an Investment Bank Ability to accurately document and share information with global peer group Derivatives, Repo, SBL product experience Windows/SQL FIX Protocol/Understanding of FIX messages STP solutions Technical and analytical skills. Thorough understanding in end to end trade flow, pricing and trade booking. Beneficial: Knowledge of Linux environment in performance and maintenance Understanding of network infrastructures - TCP/IP and LAN technologies Ability to understand business problems and solve with technical solutions. Competent in at least one - Shell Scripting / Python / Perl / Java (desired) ION Trading Platform -MMI,Sysadmin,D2D/D2C components,PXE,TradingTools PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS Reliable.
